Reusable Bags – A Necessity
Any form that has the ability to be damaged or decomposed rapidly by the action (microorganisms) of. At the end of a reusable bags life made of cloth, it will rot and because the process is fast, there is less likelihood of possible contamination. Other biodegradable substances include cotton, wool, wood, food waste and paper. That is the paper that has been produced from the natural material.
Plastic bags have been found to affect our environment in many ways. This bag is not considered to have the ability to biodegrade rapidly. It is estimated that the time for that process can be anywhere from 500 to 1,000 years. Meanwhile, the plastic can enter our waters, affecting our wildlife, birds in particular.
It has been found repeatedly, that birds, such as seagulls and others have remnants of a plastic bag in their stomach. They apparently are mistaken for food. Bags add to the problem of garbage everywhere we go. They have become entangled in bushes, flowers, trees, have been seen blowing into a car travelling on the road. This situation, when it landed on the windshield can hinder the driver's ability to see properly.
These bags are not reusable or biodegradable, takes up more space in our landfills that are already full. Statistics show that Americans throw away almost 100 billion plastic bags per year. All of this can not work with microorganisms to be biodegradable. There is a possibility that the manufacturers can come up with a plastic bag that will be able to not harm the environment. Tests and studies are being conducted.
